The G-router (GSM/GRPS) and the C-router (CDMA/CDMA1x) are both designed as an intelligent wireless data transmitter, which can be effectively deployed in sensor networks, smart metering and monitoring applications. Data can be transmitted in "Push" or "Pull" mode, stored and aggregated along preset criteria. The wireless technology will bring immediate benefits such as online connections plus cost efficient, high-speed data transmission.

The remote power switch can be used to remotely control the power to an external device, such as network routers. The unit supports universal IEC320-C14 type input and IEC320-C13 output connectors to easily fit between the power cord and the device under control. The optional remote power switch can be used for an effective reboot of the connected equipment.

RFI Engineering now offers the possibility to guarantee the status of all field-installed G-routers and C-routers.

The Remote Update Manager (RUM) is available as an Application or as a Standalone product, by which the software of all current and future RFI routers can be updated. The Application provides the update service by RFI Services 24x7, and has been included in the purchase of G-routers, C-routers and/or other RFI products. Customers can update the G-router or the C-router from the web user interface. The RFI Services Remote Update Manager (RUM) is located in the secure (https) public Internet network.

RFI Engineering also offers the Remote Update Manager (RUM) as a Standalone product: the software suite, which runs under SunOS or Linux, can then be installed e.g. on a server within an Operator’s own secure network. The feature “software update for a G-router and/or C-router” could then be offered to end customers for a monthly fee.
